Bulk checks
Updated 2026-10-09
The bulk mail check runs the MX, SPF and DMARC parts of the mail configuration check on several domains in one request.
Request
POST https://api.probekit.dev/v1/mail/check/bulk
Content-Type: application/json
{"domains": ["example.com", "example.org"]}
A request holds up to 20 domains.
Results
- Results come back in the order of the input.
- Duplicate domains count as items, and are checked as many times as they appear.
- An item that fails for a technical reason is reported as an error for that item. The other items are not affected.
- DKIM is not part of the bulk check, because it needs a selector per domain.
- Items that failed for a technical reason come with a
retry_token. See "Free retry" below.
Free retry
A bulk response where some items failed for a technical reason (for example a DNS timeout) includes a retry_token. Send it within 15 minutes to run exactly those items again, free of charge:
POST https://api.probekit.dev/v1/mail/check/bulk/retry
Content-Type: application/json
{"retry_token": "<retry_token from the bulk response>"}
- Only the failed items are run again, with the domains from the paid request. The input cannot be changed.
- A token allows 3 attempts in total. Each attempt that still has failed items returns a new token, and the old one stops working.
- No payment is needed, and nothing is charged.
- Items with findings are results, not failures, and are not retried.
See the free retry API reference.
Price
The price is $0.024 per item, with a minimum of $0.03 per request. Payment works as described in payments.
