Bot protection

Where the free check is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, the widget is loaded from Cloudflare only on tool pages, and only so that the check you asked for cannot be abused by automated traffic.

We treat this as strictly necessary under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive: it is used solely to protect a service you have explicitly requested, and it is not used for advertising, analytics or profiling. Cloudflare says the signals Turnstile processes are strictly necessary to detect and block bots and are not used to identify, profile or target individuals. We therefore do not ask for consent before loading it. We do not enable Turnstile's optional pre-clearance mode, which would set a cookie.

Cloudflare also uses the signals to improve Turnstile. What it processes is described in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum and in our privacy policy.
